The School of Graduate Studies sets clear guidelines for monitoring the progress of Ph.D. students. In Pharmacology, all students participate in a research program and present their investigations in a thesis. In particular, a Ph.D. thesis contains publishable results of original research.The faculty welcomes graduate students in other departments and programs of the University to minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Students are required to contact the Program Office and the Graduate Program Chairperson, before proceeding with a minor.The mission of the MRC Toxicology Unit is to deliver field-changing mechanistic insights into toxicology and disease. The Unit pursues an integrated scientific programme, using an unbiased systems approach to examine the effects that occur following cellular exposure to chemicals, radiation, and external biological agents.
